does anyone know if the song"flowers%26amp;football tops"as a personal meaning to someone within the group?very deep meaning lyrics throughout a very good debt album.i went to the shop about eight months ago to buy either the kings leon or the glasvegas album and i choose the kol.i think i made a mistake as i now own both and the scots album is far better.what do you reckon?Anyone like glasvegas?what do you think really think of them?
I've read a few different things about Flowers and Football Tops. There was a lad from Glasgow who died, and had Celtic shirts at his funeral etc. This was thought to be related to the song, especially as it fit in time wise, but James has said that it was just about a mother who had lost a child I think. The end is haunting.
Yes, it's a great album. I'm not going to lie, I thought they were rubbish before- dreary scottish boring music. But I was wrong. I also read they were rubbish live- not true. I saw them on the NME tour and they were fantastic. Much better than the last KOL album (which is their worst).
