Can a song be good, even if the lyrics are random/bad?

I can't make up my mind at the moment whether the new Killers song, Human (only been out in UK couple of weeks) is amazing or just banal.

Grammatically it makes little sense, but the feeling still comes across (I think?!)

Here's an example:

Are we human?

Or are we dancer?

My sign is vital

My hands are cold

And I'm on my knees

Looking for the answer

Are we human?

Or are we dancer?

People think dancer should be 'denser', but apparently not - its coincidently taken from a remark by one of my favourite authors, Hunter S. Thompson.

So what do you reckon, can the lyrics of a song be nonsense, but overall the song still be great? Can a song be good, even if the lyrics are random/bad?
No, to be good both the music and the lyrics need to be good. The lyrics in your question are in my opinion complete tripe. Can a song be good, even if the lyrics are random/bad?
Sorry, I can't get passed the ridiculous lyrics. It's the only Killer's song I haven't liked. Can a song be good, even if the lyrics are random/bad?
Yes

examples :

most of the Rush and Abba back catalogues (fantastic music words can be very dodgy) and Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz - Great Riff Rubbish Lyrics

having said that Human starts out sounding a bit too like Chris De Burgh for my liking
