Do these lyrics sound Celtic at all?

I wrote a lullaby for part of a story I'm writing. Basically, there's a Scottish character who sings in his sleep (he sings a lullaby that his mum sang to him as a kid).

This is the lullaby I wrote and I was wondering if it sounds Celtic, because I don't think it does:



The Swallows Shall Sing



The harsh wind 鈥檛will fight,

And the chaste snow 鈥檛will bite,

The leaves they鈥檒l take their flight,

And the grass will bask in diminished light.

But the Swallows will remain with song.



The Sun 鈥檛will shine,

With the planets in line,

The Earth in perfect symmetry.

All life beneath our seas,

All life in our trees,

Taken by surprise.



But the life in the skies,

What of the birds?

The Swallows shall sing.



Mother and child,

Love tender and mild,

Mother rocking child to sleep,

While the darkness shall creep.

The Swallows shall sing.



Will thou hold my hand?

Gaze with me at the once bountiful land?

鈥楢ye鈥? shall you say?

Sing with me all of this day.

The Swallows shall continue to sing



Far along the violet light,

I feel a breeze and take my flight.

Remain with my hand in yours.

I shall take you above these torrential shores.

The Swallows shall sing.



The darkness shall sing songs of terrible things,

But the Swallows shall sing,

Come rain or shine,

Hand in hand,

Our love shields us all.

We will stand and sing.





That's it. What do you reckon? Does it sound Celtic or not? If not, is there anything I can do to make it sound more Celtic?

I don't know, it sounds Celtic to me. But don't change the lyrics, I love them! It sounds like it would be an awesome song to put in your book. Maybe you should record the song or sing it on the Acoustic guitar. If u don't maybe you should ask someone that does play the guitar. I suggest this because isn't your character play the acoustic guitar? It would make sense to me.
